Trace4EO Team will be presented at the 5th ESA–ECMWF Machine Learning Workshop, taking place in Bologna on Monday, 13 April 2026.

We’re pleased to share that our abstract “Trace4EO: A Provenance Framework for Integrity, Transparency, and Reproducibility in Earth Observation Workflows” has been officially accepted for the event.

As the Earth Observation (EO) data volumes grow, trust, transparency, and reproducibility are becoming just as important as performance and resolution. Today’s EO services increasingly depend on complex processing chains, evolving satellite baselines, and AI-based analytics – making traceability and data provenance a foundational requirement for operational, auditable EO products.

This is exactly what Trace4EO addresses. Funded by ESA Φ-lab and developed by Guardtime, CloudFerro, and Alt239, the project aims at:

  • transparent and auditable EO processing workflows
  • reproducible EO products over time
  • increased trust in AI-driven EO services

If you are attending the workshop and would like to discuss EO traceability, provenance, or trustworthy EO workflows, we’d be happy to connect in person in Bologna.
